  • Product Information- a polyurethane-based foaming vinyl that makes a self-expansion by heating.
  • IMPORTANT- for the best result heat press ( not a domestic iron), firm pressure.
  • We recommend playing with temperatures and finding the best for your specific heat press. Even pressure can make an impact on the result.
  • HTV Puff PU may not expand properly if the design/image is cut too large. Plain shapes such as rectangles, squares, or circles shouldn’t be more than 4cm in diameter. 
  • If you have purchased the Sample/Test Patch variation you will need to message us with the specific three colours you would like to receive otherwise they will be chosen randomly. The size of the samples is 4cm x 4cm.

Instructions
  • Use the heat transfer vinyl for creating t-shirt-making & craft projects. You can make custom clothing, tote bags, aprons, bedding, curtains and much more.
  • Recommended fabrics: 100% cotton, 100% polyester, poly/cotton blends. It is not suitable for nylon, leather, satin, lace, knitwear, etc.
  • We encourage you to print and cut test pieces before wider production of printed garments.
  • Before washing make sure the transfer has been applied for at least 24 hours.

Instructions for Applying Puff 3D Heat Transfer Vinyl

After numerous attempts and experiments, we eventually discovered the optimal method for applying puff 3D heat transfer vinyl. Follow these steps to achieve the best results:

  1. Optimal Heat and Time Settings:
    • Press firmly and directly onto the transfer at 155 degrees Celsius for 8 seconds.
  2. Adjusting for Your Specific Heat Press:
    • We recommend experimenting with temperatures to find the ideal setting for your specific heat press.
  3. Ensuring Even Pressure:
    • Even pressure is crucial and can significantly impact the outcome of the transfer.
  4. Considering Garment Material:
    • The material of the garment plays a significant role. Lighter materials tend to lift the vinyl more, resulting in more pronounced puffiness.
  5. Aiming Pressure Precisely:
    • Ensure the pressure of the heat press is precisely aimed at the Puff PU transfer. This tip is crucial when using a small heat press, like a Cricut press.
