IF YOU ARE EXPECTING TODAY'S TV QUALITY - OR 'OFF THE RETAIL STORE SHELF' VIDEO QUALITY - DO NOT PURCHASE THIS DVD COLLECTION!

These episodes are rare and very hard to find. They were obtained over the last 45+ years by trading with fellow collectors worldwide. I am telling you now, they are NOT today's TV quality and you should not expect that. If you purchase from the heading alone, make your own assumptions and they are not what you expected, HOW IS THAT MY FAULT?

PLEASE READ THE BOLD RED TEXT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING.

IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND, PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE!

Thank You!

PHILCO/GOODYEAR TELEVISION PLAYHOUSE

The Goodyear Television Playhouse is an anthology series that was telecast live on NBC from 1951 to 1957 during the "Golden Age of Television". Sponsored by Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Goodyear alternated sponsorship with Philco, and the Philco Television Playhouse was seen on alternate weeks.

In 1955, the title was shortened to The Goodyear Playhouse and it aired on alternate weeks with The Alcoa Hour. The three series were essentially the same, with the only real difference being the name of the sponsor.

Producer Fred Coe nurtured and encouraged a group of young, mostly unknown writers.

From 1957 to 1960, it became a taped, half-hour series titled Goodyear Theater, seen on Mondays at 9:30pm.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

This is NOT a retail set or a copy of a retail set as no retail release exists for this show.

This is a custom made DVD collection made from episodes acquired in the collector arena. These episodes are rare, extremely hard-to-find and possibly all that still exist. In many cases, these episodes were transferred from a master source many years ago (master source to Beta or VHS to DVD as each media became available). READ MY FEEDBACK - many people have already acquired and have enjoyed these sets for what they are... a piece of TV history not available in stores.

If you are unfamiliar with video collecting and do not know what a 'collector set' means... It DOES NOT mean every episode is pristine and without flaws. It DOES NOT mean all episodes are today's TV quality. It DOES NOT mean all episodes will look great on your Samsung 65" 4G Big Screen HDTV.

Too many people believe every episode of every show is available in today's TV quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case and you SHOULD NOT be expecting that. Please DO NOT buy any collector DVD set if you are expecting the same quality as though you are watching TVLand reruns on your Big Screen HDTV. BEWARE OF THOSE WHO CLAIM "NEW" QUALITY ON A COLLECTOR SET.... Ask if it is 'factory new' if you are unsure.

If you are not sure what to expect from this set, DO NOT ASSUME! Please email me BEFORE purchasing. I am an honest collector. I have over 40+ years of collecting experience and a collection of over 500,000 video items (I lost count). I know what is available to collectors and what is not. Unlike some, I will not tell you what you want to hear just to make a sale. I am not like that. If you are expecting today's TV quality, I will tell you not to buy any collector DVD set. If you want to watch this set for what it is, "a piece of lost TV history" then by all means do so. I cannot be more honest in my explanation. DO NOT expect better quality than I am stating is being offered.
