Salesman Samples were a part of America's ingenuity...the growing textile industry a symptom of the growing population boom which really wouldn't be possible without the machine age which allowed the continued growth of america. These salesman samples were part of the modernism of america when salesman would go door to door with suitcases of these samples to sell to well coiffed housewives of the period. Today these samples represent new old stock...timeless unused remnants with original labels...a must for the textile archeologist of sorts.

This offering is for ONE unused unwashed large salesman sample...certainly enough for 4 glorious pillows...in a pattern called DELRAY...surely from the looks of it inspired by Delray Beach, Florida...which was a hamlet by the sea in the 40's...a sanctuary for snowbirds from the North to lay their bonnets. This rayon faille relic is a medium to heavier weight with a ribbed texture consistent with faille. A creamy white ground...with explosive magenta purple pink...celery mint...dove gray...creamy limes...deepest darkest teal...sage greens...creamy charcoal...bubble gum pink...deep dark merlot with black accents on white. The selvedge is signed "Cohama Hand Print Delray". The cardboard tag at the top is featured in my photos. As expected the selvedges are original and the top and bottom edges serged. Expect fabulous flawless. Measures 50 inches wide x 53 inches long.

I take returns...but who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience. Please only buy if you know you really want it...in other words...I'm here to have the best selling experience and I can't do that without your help. With that said...of course I will take a return...I'm just hoping more the pricing will WOW YA over wanting to return it :) Here is to a summer of fabulous Florida Finds. :)
