Special Story:
The late artist was my mother Rosemary. She was self taught and began painting in
the early 1960's although the bulk of her paintings were done late 1980's to 1995. She
began painting seascapes and developed into a fine landscape, still life and portrait artist.
Rosemary was handicapped/partially paralyzed in her right hand in the latter part
of her life but she prevailed and fine tuned her artistry. My sister and I were very
proud of her talent, tenacity and dedication. Rosemary passed away in 1995 leaving
behind at least two hundred oil paintings in varied subject matters and sizes. Many
were sold privately, or to dealers, or went to a church charity for resale. The paintings
that I am offering on EBAY were some of her best work. Although my sister and I have
retained a few of our personal favorites. In 1990 Rosemary wrote a course in oil painting
techniques and taught her craft to others at a local community center in New Port Richey,
Florida. My mother Rosemary was an inspiration to me personally in many ways. She
accepted her physical challenges and just continued to paint.
