This box was made around the year 1900 with high-quality artisan craftsmanship, the lid is decorated with inlay work and an inlay of mother-of-pearl and natural organic material showing two Japanese figures in traditional clothing and wood. There is an artist signature on the right edge.

The box is in good general condition: there are minor repairs in the area of the frame and the lock: paint repairs and a light crack. There is a lock but the key is missing. There are minor flaws in the placement.
