Super looking 19th century hand carved wood shoe snuff box.
It is 3-1/2" long clog style shoe and there is a decorative iron ring on the top to open the lid.
I can't get the lid off with gentle trying, not sure if it slides or pulls, but tugging and pulling with my fingers isn't budging it.
Patina on the wood is great, I love how the iron ring has over time left 2 discolored circles on the top as it flipped from one side to the other. Hanging or sitting, this shoe is wonderful from every angle.
