Description of item for sale:

This exquisite sculpture in bronze is signed by the artist Cesar Ceribelli (1841-1918).  The subject, the Italian noblewoman Bianca Cappello (1548-1587), was the mistress and second wife of Francesco I de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany in the 1500's. There are many copies of this bronze of varying sizes and finishes.  Note that this one is a true antique bronze from the 1800's, showing the proper antique bronze patination as well as original patinated gold highlights.  It is also larger than most copies-close to life size.  It is in excellent antique condition with normal wear and no damage.  Dimensions: 24.5" tall, 13.5" across and 8" deep (front to back).  Weight: 39 lbs.  (223)
