It is an adaptation of the homonymous Aristophanes comedy. In ancient Athens, men were absorbed by the war with the Spartans and neglected their wives and their homes. Undaunted, the women, led by Lysistrat, decide to declare sexual abstinence in order to force them to finally make peace. And, though temperance is not the only solution, the Spartans too hurry to join them, demanding peace from their own men, whose absence from the marriage bed has also been felt........
