Plumb official Boy Scout axe with the original 12-inch hickory handle and Permabond eye. There are still traces of red paint on the handle. Thanks to Ryan Landin’s “Plumb Scout Axe Timeline,” we can reliably date this axe between 1955, when the Permabond handle was introduced, and 1961, after which the beveled edges near the poll were discontinued.

This axe has been cleaned of rust. If you like, I can use a wire wheel to take all the rust off. For an additional $40, I can polish and sharpen it. A great piece for restoring, displaying, throwing or gifting to the young woodsman/woman in your life.
