This Stunning ‘Boucher look’ bird brooch hails from the early 1940's as does the Marcel Boucher piece it emulates. It is made of pot metal with hand painted enamel accents in black and a turquoise / aqua shade of blue. The handset rhinestones add undeniable flair! Depicted is a graceful Peacock with feathers displayed to advantage. There must be a lady bird nearby! Add this beauty to your jewelry box today!

The extra-large brooch is in very good vintage condition with appropriate age/use related wear. I have not cleaned or touched it up in any way. Most of the enamel is intact with spots of color loss here and there. Of the 26 rhinestones on the tail, 10 are missing. One on the chest is also gone. All rhinestones on the neck and head are present, including his little red eye. His beak and head feathers have bent some over time. There are no bend/stress marks to the metal. There is a 1/16” crack on the back which goes partially through to the front. It cannot be seen from the front, nor has it destabilized the brooch. It is marked with an arrow on the last picture. The rollover clasp is in good order. Measurements are approximately 5.25" Tall x almost 2.00" Across. The pin pictured is the actual piece you’ll receive, so please examine the photos closely for additional information on size and condition. It is unsigned.
