Doulton Flow blue plate in the Watteau pattern, pastoral central scene with ornate scroll border. Intense cobalt blue on white background with medium level " Flow ". Made in England and marked on the back with the " Doulton Burslem England " mark.  Dating on this was done by the mark. The use of the " England " in the trademark indicates it was made after the English Act of 1891. The absence of the word " Royal " which we know today, is because Doulton didn't receive commission until 1901 after the coronation of Edward VI.  Measures 10 3/8 diameter. Front of plate is in great condition, the back has scratches.  NO chips, cracks or repairs.
