In the coming months I am converting a tiny fraction of my several tons of exotic hardwoods back into cash- the good stuff that rarely makes it back to market. I  had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. If you want the best, you'll likely find it here. If you don't like it when you get it, just return it for exchange, credit or refund, your choice. Stabilized Wormy Buckeye Lace Burl knife scales #0229. The dimensions are oversized at 5 3/4" x 2 1/16" x 7/16" for each scale. These are wormy and have nice deep gray coloration and lots of burly figure. The worm poop is stabilized solid and will finish easily. This is busy buckeye from a super quality 5A burl. Perfectly stabilized, hard and solid with curly burly figure and nice color and contrast ready for a gallery quality creation. Has a touch of live edge and the few expected natural voids may be present. All burl has hidden internal voids so examine the photos and ask questions if you're not sure. Gun grip blanks, micro lumber, box wood, etc. Please note that the color you see on your screen may be different than the color I see on my screen so please ask questions if precise color or shade is important for your project. Photos are of the scales dry, the good side sanded to 240 grit and the backs to 120 grit. Just try to imagine how nice this will look with your favorite finish applied!
