1543. Novum Testamentum. Printed in Paris by Simon de Colines.

Text in two parts: 4 gospels first part, epistles second part (second part with separate title and pagination.) First part lacks title, second leaf which follows, and blank at end; second part lacks final two leaves of index, defects to leaf L1 and two index leaves missing portions and repaired in old paper. Bound in later calf.

The present is the Macclesfield copy with their engraved armorial North Library bookplate to front pastedown. The contents bear numerous early manuscript notations; however, most of them were blurred by water (likely an early attempt to remove them).

Condition: Binding intact, extremities rubbed, light wear. Contents with some faded water-stains and ink-stains, which both appear to be a result of an early attempt to remove some early manuscript notes. Otherwise mostly clean with some occasional other stains or similar blemishes.

Measures 6.5" x 4".
