Original WW2 British Army Officer Jungle Bush Jacket Aertex Shirt Size Large 5

Genuine period jungle bush shirt as worn by officers who served in the Pacific theatre such as Burma during the Second World War. The shirt is made from a cellular cotton known as Aertex which is a lightweight breathable fabric for use in hot climates.

The shirt is in overall good original condition; however, there are some period repairs including one to the shoulder and some wear to the collar (see pictures). This however, does not detract from the shirts overall appearance.

Made from all natural fibres and features loops sand button for shoulder epaulettes (not included) and ALFSEA (Allied Land Forces South East Asia) which was the redesignation of the 11th Army Corps in Nov 1944.

The approximate measurements of the shirt are:

 Chest - 44 inches
Top of collar to bottom hem - 34.5 inches
Shoulder to cuff - 25 inches
