For sale today is the rare and out-of-print (oop) Marvel Comics trade paperback (tpb)/graphic novel Punisher: The Platoon, by legend Garth Ennis and Goran Parlov, published in 2018.

  •  Collects Punisher: The Platoon (2017 Marvel) #1-6.
Written by Garth Ennis. Art and cover by Goran Parlov.
Before the Punisher was born in Vietnam, Frank Castle had already become a dark legend of the battlefield. Stories about him were told in whispers, if at all. Now the legendary creative team of Garth Ennis and Goran Parlov brings the first of those stories to light: the tale of Frank Castle's first command, and his first kill. During the Tet Offensive, death surrounded Lt. Castle's platoon on all sides. How far would Frank go to protect his men? Especially when the danger came from the indifference of his commanders? And while Castle was engaged in the grind of war, a kindred spirit on the enemy's side watched...and waited. It's a seemingly hopeless mission. It's Lt. Castle's first platoon. It's the answer to the question: What made the Punisher?

I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This copy is in good overall condition, with a solid spine, and great overall inside pages (photo#14 example). It does have some signs of wear in the form of cover creases/indents, although a majority of the flaws are mostly lighter and affect the book's externals.

**Photo#3:
-Spine edge: ~6 indents spread along it: 5 show as small/light indents on the adjacent front cover, with 1 near the upper half extending onto the front cover as a light ~3.5" indent/scratch/depression (photo#10 w/illumination). 2 show on the adjacent back cover as light ~1/2" creases/depressions.

**Photo#4:
-Upper spine corner: Tiny peel where it meets the back cover.

**Photo#5:
-Lower spine corner: Light scuffing.

**Photo#6:
-Front cover top edge: Little if any shelf-wear.
-Outer corner: Small/light indent/scuff/bend, goes thru ~3 pages as an indent, and ~1/5 pages as a light bend.

**Photo#7:
-Front cover bottom edge: Light shelf-scuffing/wear, if any.
-Outer corner: ~1.5" depression nearby corner, with a ~1" indent/depression around the corner (photo#11 w/illumination) that shows as a light indent on ~4 pages. Small crease/scuff/bend at extreme corner, goes thru most pages as a light bend.

**Photo#8:
-Back cover top edge: Little if any shelf-wear.
-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend, goes thru ~10 pages as a light bend.

**Photo#9:
-Back cover bottom edge: Light shelf-scuffing/wear, if any.
-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend from front cover's.

**Additionally: Front cover possesses a vertical ~4" indent/depression starting adjacent the bottom edge, with nearby light ~1/2" and ~1" creases/depressions (all in photo#12 w/illumination), 1 shows as a small indent on ~1/5 pages. 4 more small/light creases/indents/depressions around cover's center. Back cover has a ~1" crease/depression near the page edge's middle (photo#13 w/illumination) that shows on pages as a small indent that grows lighter as it travels. 2 more lighter ~1/2" ones towards lower spine corner - 1 shows on ~1/2 pages.

I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack any books between pieces of cardboard, with either a bubble or cardboard mailer, or a box for larger lots. If you have any questions or would like any additional photos, feel free to let me know. I'm always happy to try to combine shipping, just message me before purchase! Thanks, and have an amazing day!
