This is a beautiful felt and sequins Christmas stocking. 

In the first picture, it is shown next to a 16.75" adult hanger.  (Hanger is not included in the sale.)  

This stocking was most likely handmade from a Christmas stocking kit in the 1960s or perhaps 1970s.  Possibly old enough to be Mid Century Modern.  

Decoration on Stocking: 

The top of the stocking is shaped like a house, complete with a snowy roof, windows and a door.  The door is decorated with a felt and sequins wreath.

Outside the door are two Christmas trees decorated with sequins, beads and gold rick rack trim.  

There are two blue birds flying around the roof.  

Outside the house, on the toe of the stocking, is a black dog and a white cat looking towards the house.  

Material:

Outside: Red and white felt with decorations in green, white, blue, and black felt.  The felt is probably a wool blend.

Backing: Red and white felt.

There is no lining on the inside of this stocking

Measurements - taken from outside of stocking:

Height - from top to toe, measured along one side: 16.5"

Height - from top to heel: 13.5"

Width - back of heel to toe: 11.25"

Width - at narrowest spot: 7.25" 

Width - at top: 7.5"

Note: If you are trying to fill this stocking with a specific item, subtract 1 or 1.5 inches from the measurements above and that will tell you what dimensions of the items you should be able to fit into the stocking. Take note of the narrowest part of the stocking.

Condition:   There are no holes, rips, stains or flaws on the outside or inside the stocking.  Very clean.  Comes from a smoke free and pet free home.
