Description of item for sale: This Gothic clock garniture was produced in Paris, France during the mid/late 1800's.  The clockmaker's initials GL are stamped on the case as well as the clockworks (see photos).  The clockworks were produced by Samuel Marti.  The case and candelabra are handmade from walnut wood and beautifully patinated bronze.  The clock runs very well and keeps good time.  It tolls out the hours and once on the half hours on a spiral wire gong.  The entire garniture is in very good antique condition with no notable damage.  Note that the small castle doors on the front do not fully close because they are tight in the frame (see photos).  Dimensions: 24" tall, 9" wide and 9" deep (clock); 19" tall, 10" wide and 7" deep (candelabra).  (6489)
