For auction is a overlay panel table lamp made by The Miller Lamp Company of Meriden, CT. This pattern is called "Clover and Morning Glories" and it is done in a wonderful overlay design. This lamp has some size to it as it stands 22 1/2" tall to the very top of the finial and the bottom of the base has a diameter of 8 3/4". The shade has a diameter of 15" from flat side to flat side and 16" diagonally.

This lamp displays an overlay shade pattern of clovers in bloom on a cast iron 3 light base base. The pattern on the base is done in a Morning Glory raised relief pattern. The overlay is crafted from experienced craftsmen and is set against a yellow with brown opalescent stained glass. The glass is early Kokomo yellow and they commonly supplied The Miller Lamp Company, Bradley and Hubbard, Charles Parker, Unique Lamp and Bronze many early leaded and panel lamp manufacturers at the turn of the century with their stained glass needs. The base is done in a Verdigris Patina.

The base is made of heavy cast with a 3 light cluster and round pull chains that are in excellent working order. The base has an Art Nouveau embossed design on top of the round foot. The bottom is finished off in a leather that is original to the  base. I want to point out that this is a single cast base and not put together in 2 pieces.

The base and shade are considered to be in excellent condition as none of the glass is cracked or broken in the shade. The only issue is some minor patina wear on both the frame of the shade and the base where one would grab it and move it even with the shade when sitting on the base. The base has more wear than the shade.

This lamp was made circa 1910-1920.

THIS LAMP WILL BE SHIPPED IN 2 SEPARATE BOXES

We are professional shippers. This item will be double boxed using Styrofoam sheets to form a casket around the shade and put the base in a separate box. This gives added protection for the shade but raises the cost for shipping.  I also put insurance on each box for the total sale of the lamp. This way if either one is damaged or lost the entire amount is covered, even if 1 of the 2 boxes arrive. This raises the cost but is well worth the coverage.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.

They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.

If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.

International purchases must wait for the Invoice so Insurance can be added. There are some Countries I cannot Ship to because the Post Office won't allow Insurance on items shipped there.
