Dall'antica e storica Collezione di Stampe "OFFICERS OF THE BRITISH ARMY" (1833-1836)
Questi sei diversi soggetti della raccolta - (numerati 15, 26, 42, 43, 47, 50, come da elencazione qui sotto) - fanno parte della serie prodotta nella versione "stampe litografiche colorate a mano" in dimensione 140x170 mm (circa) e pubblicata nel periodo 1833-1836 nella sua prima ed unica edizione.
Disegnate da L. Mansion & St. Eschauzier (inv. & del). Colorate a mano da C. H. Martin e C. Bowen (in parte). Stampate da W. Kobler e da Lefevre & Co. Pubblicazione curata dall'editore William Spooner (London) tra il 1833 ed il 1836.
Sono incorniciate nella loro struttura originale, legno laccato nero con dettagli dorati, con dimensione 144x178x12 mm (circa). Sul retro è presente un originale sistema per appenderle (credo anch'esso risalente al tempo di produzione), con due piccoli anelli metallici laterali collegati con un robusto spago (come si vede anche in una foto).
Nota: Acquistate molto molto tempo fa da un mio parente in Inghilterra, (e sicuramente originali dell'epoca). Poi rimaste appese in un Ufficio Legale per molti anni. Sempre ben curate ma evidentemente e naturalmente con qualche segno del tempo (che forse le rendono ancora più interessanti)...
Solo per maggior informazione storica (seppur molto incompleta): La prima versione, oramai rarissima più che rara (e in passato venduta da Christie's a prezzi molto alti), prodotta e curata da W. Spooner tra il 1830 ed il 1836 - ovvero in parte precedentemente ed in parte nello stesso periodo di quella in piccolo formato - era composta anch'essa da 60 soggetti diversi ma era in formato più grande (circa 320x450 mm) e realizzata come "litografie colorate a mano".

Naturalmente è cosa buona e giusta se anche voi provate a proporre delle ragionevoli ed eque offerted'acquisto! Se, facendolo, porgete attenzione a ciò che vorreste comprare, mantenendo una logica e razionale valutazione, certamente assieme potremmo trovare un buon accordo... Siete sempre i benvenuti! Perché io vendo queste cose per farle girare o per liberarmene, non per arricchirmi: ma ciò evidentemente non vuol dire svendere a prezzi irragionevoli rispetto al reale valore (che ho sempre attentamente valutato dopo ricerca e informazione adeguate). From the ancient and historic Collection of Prints "OFFICERS OF THE BRITISH ARMY" (1833-1836)
These six different subjects in the collection - (numbered 15, 26, 42, 43, 47, 50, as listed below) - are part of the series produced in the "hand-colored lithographic prints" version in size 140x170 mm (approximately) and published in the period 1833-1836 in its first and only edition.
Designed by L. Mansion & St. Eschauzier (inv. & Del). Hand colored by C. H. Martin and C. Bowen (in part). Printed by W. Kobler and Lefevre & Co. Publication edited by the publisher William Spooner (London) between 1833 and 1836.
They are framed in their original structure, black lacquered wood with golden details, with dimensions 144x178x12 mm (approximately). On the back there is an original system for hanging them (I think also dating back to the time of production), with two small lateral metal rings connected with a sturdy string (as can also be seen in a photo).
Note: Purchased a long long time ago from a relative of mine in England, (and certainly originals of the time). Then they was been on the wall of a Law Office for many years. Always well cared for but obviously and naturally with some signs of aging (which perhaps make them even more interesting)...
