THE BOOK CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS: PART 1 IS A SCENE BY SCENE, IMAGE BY IMAGE NARRATIVE OF THE FILM BY ALEXANDRO JODOROWSKY.

PART 2 REFLECTS CONVERSATION S WHERE JODOROWSKY TALKS ABOUT THE MAKING AND MEANING OF THE FILM.

THE BOOK IS IN FINE CONDITIONS WITH NO CONDITION ISSUES. The red, white and blue book mark remains sharp and clean.

STATED FIRST EDITION. 1971. 173 pages.

THE DUST JACKET IS PRICE CLIPPED. THERE HAD BEEN A CLEAR COAT POLY SURFACE OVER THE PAPER OF THE JACKET AND IT SEPARATED AND HAS BEEN REMOVED BUT LEFT AN IRREGULAR SHINE TO THE JACKET ITSELF WHICH IS WHY I AM SAYING THAT THE JACKET IS LESS THAN IN FINE CONDITION. There is no damage to the paper beyond the clipped price but the finish is less than perfect (Photo 2)

The book has never been read and is new old stock with minor dust from air exposure for 50 years. The interior photos I took were solely to verify the edition and date but you will realize when you get this that the book has never been fully opened.

This is a brand new 50 plus year old book in a price clipped jacket that has no damage other than the loss of its protective clear plastic coat (which left an irregular shine behind).

I purchased a collection of books and other items from the estate of the owner of a former New York City bookstore named Cinemabilia at 10 West 13th St , run by Ernest D. Burns . It was located in Greenwich Village in the 1970's and 1980's and, I believe, closed down in 1987 (These books have been packed in boxes since 1987). It included primarily books on film, but also opera and puppets and New Orleans. Many of the books I will be listing are "new old stock" in that they were never sold. When his store closed down, he boxed everything up and they have spent the last thirty years boxed and/or bagged.
