This is a top quality and very unusual half tester bed designed as a single and it takes a standard single mattress 36 inches wide and 74 inches long. The old single mattress in the photos is not included.,(unless you want it.)

The bed is very early Victorian  dating to around 1840. It is in flame mahogany. The bed is in the very romantic looking with turned  knobs and barley twist columns. It has a bold cornice above and curtain rails.

This is a very romantic bed designed for a princess! You will need to get two voile fabric drops and tiebacks to float down from the curtain rails on the overhanging tester. You will need a voile length to drop down from the back of the cornice to float in front of the headboard and you will need a piece of satin material for the ceiling in the cornice. The material just tacks on so is easily done.

The bed is 88.5 inches high at the cornice. The footboard is 37 inches high and the bed is 42 inches wide. You will need a mattress 36 inches wide and 74 inches long. (A standard UK single.)

The bed is in good antique condition. 

The bed splits for moving. It has its original  heavy duty bolts and nuts to build it again
