You need to solder the components to the board with this listing, full instructions included.

The kit includes everything in the photo, including the vintage CV4504 diode tube valve. This is a single diode similar to half of 6AL5

You will need to provide a high impedance earpiece, if you are in the UK , I will supply  an address you can buy for under £2 + postage in with instructions . You will also need an antenna and  at least 5M indoors and a good earth connection. ( water pipe or safe earth) . Some experiment with aerial lenght will be required to find the optimum length  for your area 

This is a crystal radio circuit with three ways to detect the radio signal, so good for experimenting with different diodes and crystals. The kit includes a Iron Pyrite crystal and "Cat's Whisker", a germanium diode and the tube valve diode detector. 

The kit  is suitable for the novice, with a well spaced out board.

The heater legs on the tube valve have been  cut a little shorter for ease of identification. In the tube valve detecting mode a 5-6V dc supply of at lease 150mA is requires. I have found that old USB power supplies at 5 volts give good results.
