For your consideration is this rare and desirable Art Deco trinket box that was made by Fasold & Stauch in Germany in the early part of the 20th century. Although it is not signed, it is numbered consistently within their product line. Fasold & Stauch was a prolific maker of high quality pincushion and half dolls, and they also made other objects using those doll molds, such as this box. It portrays a flapper girl in a cloche hat and dressed to the nines with her Cavalier King Charles spaniel seated on top of her steamer trunk waiting to be transported. The dimensions of the trunk are 3 1/2" W x 2 1/2" D x 2" H, with the seated girl adding another 2 1/4 inches to its height. The trinket box is in excellent condition, with no damage of any kind or repairs.
