This 25 Pound South Carolina colonial was printed by Peter Timothy and is larger in size than the smaller denominations of this issue. Despite the low grade state of this note, the emblem of a flourishing tree and a fallen tree still remains bold. Encircling the emblem is the latin motto “MELIOREM LAPSA LOCAVIT” (Having fallen it found a better place).
