These beautiful windows are perfect for country cottages

or barn conversations.

These beautiful handcrafted windows are full of character

and made using Rustic grade European oak.

Each piece of timber may have one or more of the

following characteristics,

Knots which may have small pieces missing, 

small splits or shakes, sapwood or colour variation

or slight machining faults

which may have removed small sections of timber. 

If you appreciate the beauty of real timber 

and there highly skilled hand built nature,

If you prefer a modern plain laminated appearance

maybe you should buy from another seller.

External frame section sizes,

head and sides 90mm x 42mm, cill 90mm x 54mm.

Sash section sizes,

head and sides 56mm x 45mm, bottom rail 56mm x 65mm.

All sizes are before sanding so are approximate. 

These beautiful windows are handcrafted 

in a family run traditional workshop on the Grosvenor estate 

in the Cheshire countryside 

and because of this they can be made to any bespoke size,

They are constructed using traditional joinery methods

and would compliment any house.

All joints are through mortice and tenon.

Each section of timber is machined from a single of oak

and not numerous pieces laminated together.

This window comes with the external cill pictured 

but can be supplied without 

as long as you message us at the point of sale

Supplied untreated so you must add your own paint or varnish. 

Supplied fully glazed,

with a 24mm double glazed unit

with Pilkington 'K' glass and argon gas fill.

THIS IS THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF TREATMENT WE RECOMMEND. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY LEAD TO WATER PENETRATION WHICH WILL CAUSE SWELLING AND DAMAGE TO YOUR ITEM. 

Osmo 420 extra oil.

This is the most natural but requires regular upkeep 

Initial treatment before fitting.

Apply 5-6 medium coats with a brush to all surfaces including the top, bottom and sides and any cutouts for hinges or lock recesses.

Apply 2 coats each spring and autumn thereafter.

This is more durable and requires less upkeep 

Sadolin Extra Durable Clearcoat

It is clear and UV resistant.

Initial treatment before fitting.

Apply 4 medium coats with a brush to all surfaces including the top, bottom and sides and any cutouts for hinges or lock recesses.

Apply 2 coats the following spring and autumn

Apply 1 coat each year thereafter
