This painting is oil on canvas and measures 16" by 20".

Painting depicts a farmer carrying hay to his barn where we see cows and chickens. His home is close in the background with smoke coming from the chimney. The painting also has a feeling of Christmas time.

Not signed that I can find which is surprising because this piece is done in a very practiced and accomplished style. The primitive style is very distinct and should be recognizable to those who have seen it before. A recognizable primitive style that would follow an artist throughout their career. 

Not dated but dates to circa 1950s

This painting has been well cared for and is in very good vintage condition.

Unframed.
