2 Original Victorian paperwieghts in the shape of Lizards

Diffrent styles but similar sizing

I love these, both are very well modelled and have good and intricate detailing, they are distictly different in thier looks but the sizing means they are very complimentary with each other.

i feel one is really quite old with the other later, both victorian anywhere between 1840 and 1910 but I have to say at this point I am no expert, dating brass items is a bit of a minefield as a medium its been used for 100's of years!

Have a good lok at the photos, the more you look the more you see, they are both really excellent and although designed as paperweights are certainly decorative, the quirky nature of the subject is whats is most appealing, i had one hiding in a plant pot!

Well modelled. expressive.
