REGENCY SNUFF BOX

A beautiful Georgian snuff box of good size and depth. Made by Joseph Willmore of sterling silver and fully hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay Office and dated 1814 (letter 'q' in a shield), please see the magnified images.
Decorated externally with bright cut detail enclosed by a border of stiff leaf detail on the lid, which has a vacant cartouche. Rare to find in such sublime condition.

Date: 1814.

Condition: Unusually fine and very collectable condition. The lid hinges well and closes with perfection. It has been recently cleaned and is largely free of tarnish. Externally the box is in exceptional (near mint in my opinion) condition and has never been dropped. There are no dings, dents, damage or bruises to the corners. The gilt finish inside is in fair condition with just minor signs of wear but the hallmarks are fully legible.
