"The NEW TESTAMENT of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; Translated out of the Original Greek; and with the Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised.

[Appointed to be read in Churches and Families.]

Philadelphia: Printed and Sold by Abel Dickinson, Whitehall.....1/4 mile above Callowhill Street, on the Ridge Road. ...... 1808."

Early American New Testament. Fair condition, what appears to be the original leather binding is heavily worn from years of storage and use. Both front and back covers have a pattern scratched into them (see last picture). Leather has begun to flake off the bottom of the spine. The binding is well broken in but still feels solid. Pages themselves are heavily faded from age, and display foxing throughout and the occasional staining. The text is readable but has become faded in places. The book bears an inscription on the inside of the front cover which reads "The New Testament of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Amen, Peter Peffly Anno".
