MAP STRUCTURE

The backbone of the map consists of contour lines for every 100 meters in low altitudes and for every 500 meters for heights above 500 meters.

Thus, the map provides a great image of the surface of the Earth.

The light map colors and white oceans are intended to make it easy to place your own markings on the map.

The map displays the most important rivers and waters, country borders, the capitals and other important towns, and the Seven Summits as reference points.

The infographics at the bottom of the map illustrate some statistics about the continents and their land area, population, largest and smallest countries, highest and lowest point, and an overview of the 10 largest islands on Earth.

AUFBAU DER KARTE

Die Grundstruktur der Karte besteht in niedrigeren Lagen aus Höhenlinien für je 100 Meter. Ab 500 Metern Höhe stellen je 500 Meter eine neue Höhenstufe dar.

Somit wird die Topographie der Erdoberfläche gut wiedergegeben.

Die helle Farbgebung der Karte und die weißen Flächen für die Ozeane sind speziell für das Einzeichnen und Anbringen eigener Markierungen gedacht.

Auf der Karte sind die wichtigsten Gewässer, die Staatsgrenzen, die Hauptstädte und weitere wichtige Orte, sowie die Seven Summits eingezeichnet.

Die Infografiken unter der Karte illustrieren einige Statistiken zu den Kontinenten der Erde wie Landfläche, größte und kleinste Länder, höchste und tiefste Punkte, sowie eine Übersicht zu den 10 größten Inseln der Erde.
