 Philips UCL82 Triode Pentode Audio Fequency Tube .

• the UCL82 was almost exclusively used as AF pre- and output amp, although the triode section is greatly oversized for this application. Just as the PCL82, the output section of the UCL82 has been designed for an anode and screen voltage of 170V as usual for universal ac/dc receivers. Unlike as the PCL82, the UCL82 was not superseded by an UCL86 after some years.

Tested on AVO 160 With:

a: triode

Uf: 48V~

Ua: 200 V

Ug1: - 1 V

Results: Ia = 6 mA  (3.7 = 100 %)

               S = 2.6 mA/V (2.5 = 100 %)

b: pentode:

Ua: 200 V

Ug1: -16 V

Ug2: 200 V

Results: Ia = 39 mA (35 = 100%)

                S = 6.5 mA/V (6.4 = 100%)
