This is a 2 map offering which shows where many of the homeowners resided in the Townships of South Amboy and Woodbridge, Middlesex County, New Jersey in 1876. These fine maps were recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're  11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat.

Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of South Amboy and Woodbridge.

The first map shows the entire Township of South Amboy and Woodbridge which includes the areas known as Sayreville, South Amboy, Sayre Woods, Ernston, Laurel Park, Phoenix, Morgan, Laurence Harbor, Madison Park and others . Due to the large area covered on this map, some of the names are quite small. Please check out the pictures provided for better detail.

The second map shows the town of Woodbridge. Truly a great matching set. It's hard to make out the specifics from my poor picture however it's clearly detailed on the actual maps! Some of the surnames which are printed are Mitchell, Disbrow, Hoff, Conover, Morgan, Applegate, Hillman, Hansell, Cummings, Worthington, Johnson, Armstrong and so many more that it's impossible to list! Please note that  much of the very densely populated areas don't show surnames however the homesteads and estates are shown. Also indicated on the maps are town and or county boundaries, schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams. 

This set would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything!
