In 1954, the Meopta company in the city of Přerov in the east of the Czech Republic began production of amateur 8 mm. Meopta A8lla film cameras. A very good movie camera for its time, it had a durable aluminum body, a rotating turret with two Meopta Mirar 2.8/12.5 mm lenses. and Meopta Mirar 3.5/35 mm. The aperture limits are 2.8-16 and 3.5-22, respectively. The distance to the object was selected by turning the ring on the lenses, and these rings were connected to each other by teeth and turned simultaneously. Frame size 3.55 x 4.9 mm. The camera was designed for 2 x 8 mm. film on a standard 10-meter reel of 16-millimeter perforated film. The film was exposed in two passes and, after development, was cut along the center line. After trimming the exposed ends and gluing, the result was 15 m of film. The shooting speed could be smoothly changed with a strip control from 10 fps. up to 64 fps. This could be done right during filming and get additional special effects. The camera drive is spring driven. The cocking was carried out by a folding bracket on the right panel. One spring cock was enough for 2.5 meters of film. Trigger trigger with a comfortable handle.
