Kawasaki Battery Level Warning Light Eliminator GT/GPz/ZL.

On 1980's Kawasaki's there is an electrolyte level probe that goes in cell 4 of the battery. The purpose of this is to extinguish the battery warning light on the dash.

Replaces Kawasaki part no: 270101177 (200mm long) €34.20 each and 270101099 (170mm long) €29.40 each.

When you fit a maintenance free or gel battery, there is nowhere to insert the level probe. This is becoming more of an issue now that it is more difficult to purchase wet batteries through the post.

The SCL Warning Level Eliminator connects between your loom and the battery +ve terminal to extinguish the warning light. It simulates the voltage that would have been received from cell 4 of the battery and comes complete with a fuse to protect the circuit.

When the mot rules were updated a couple of years ago it became a failure to have any warning lights showing on the dash. Some motorcycle mot stations are interpreting the flashing warning lights on a GPz/GT/ZL/ZX as a failure. This part will resolve that.

This lead has been tested on GT550G/GT750P/Zx550A/GPz750A models and should work any of the models that used an electrolyte level probe.

The pattern level probes now cost over £12.00 each so this is a bargain, even if you are fitting a conventional wet battery.
