Model on front cover - Nena von Schlebrügge appears on a number of Vogue Pattern Book covers and Vogue patterns from the late 1950s and early 1960s. She was a very sought after model with many of the top designers of this period.  Nena von Schlebrügge (b. 1941) was born in Mexico City to German-Swedish parents who had fled Nazi Germany. In 1957, two years after she was discovered by Norman Parkinson, she moved from her native Stockholm to London to pursue modelling, later moving to New York to sign with Eileen Ford. Here she models one of Vogue’s Dior patterns.

(A few of the pictures are by one of my Japanese buyers who made this coat, what a beautiful result. This is what he had to say: 30-40 hours to complete, wool tweed, I used fusible interfacing instead of coat stiffening as I could not get light hair canvas as described in the instructions, I used quilting lining. Total Cost £20 except pattern.)
