This is a vintage handmade knitted Christmas stocking that has been personalized for someone named JONATHAN.

NOTE: There is no hanging string or ribbon on this stocking, so if you want to hang it from a string, you will need to add your own.  

If I had to guess, I think this stocking was made sometime around the 1960s to the 1980s.

Decoration on Stocking: 

There is an image of Frosty the Snowman's head on this stocking. The colors of yarn used are a bright Kelly green, bright red, and bright white.  

Material:

100% Wool or Wool blend yarn.  This stocking feels like a wool blend with cotton possibly.  

Measurements:

Height - from top to toe, measured along one side: 19.5"

Height - from top to heel: 14"

Width - back of heel to toe: 10"

Width - at narrowest spot: 5.5" 

Width - at widest spot: 6.5"

Width - at top: 4.5"

There is some stretch to this stocking, but not a ton.  

Note: If you are trying to fill this stocking with a specific item, subtract 1 or 1.5 inches from the measurements above and that will tell you what dimensions of the items you should be able to fit into the stocking. Take note of the narrowest part of the stocking.

Condition:  This stocking is in good condition for its age.  There is one small string that is a little loose right underneath the snowman's bow.  It just needs to be tucked into the stocking.  See last photo.  This stocking is very clean.  This stocking comes from a smoke free and pet free home.
