I received my flute today and I am very happy with it. It is much more sturdy than I imagined and is of Excellent quality! I haven't played it very much ; but, the tone is rich and woody and it is nicely tuned. I love it!. I look forward to many great, long years playing this beautiful instrument. Thank God It ain't over 'til it's over!

This Walking stick flute is the same as my standard one with a plastic handle only it has a beautiful solid brass bird for a handle . I have copied the details from my other listing as the rest of the walking stick flute is the same and it sounds the same as those played in the video below . Note that the one with a brass bird handle is a bit heavier and is only available in a side blown version .

This is a side blown Native American flute, accurately tuned to the key of A .
I make these walking stick flutes in the key of A ,G,and F# ( A being the highest pitch and F# the lowest ) . I make them as either side blown or end blown but this brass bird handle one can only be played through a hole in the side of the upper part of the flute .
The flute you are bidding with a solid brass bird handle is a side blown flute in the key of A .(5 holes, Native American style , Minor Pentatonic Scale ).
I can make these with 6 holes on request but this one is a 5 hole version.
The walking stick flute is made from sturdy heat treated Aurea bamboo and comes with a strong replaceable rubber stopper on the end and a Native American flute in the upper section .
Like most Native American flutes , no previous musical experience is needed to be able play this flute . Much like a recorder, you can blow in the blowing hole and 'play from the heart ' whatever feels good to you . This makes these walking stick flutes a great gift to yourself or another .
Unless you contact me for a different length, the flute you will be sent will be approximately 90 cms (35.5 inches ) in length . It can easily be cut a bit shorter if it is too long .
A great combination of fun and practicality.
