A rare English antique solid sterling silver and enamelled cigarette case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1913 with the makers mark being that of Deakin & Francis Ltd. It has been superbly designed with the front being enamelled with Leeds University's Coat of Arms. The back has been engraved 'Presented to J. Stephen Hewthwaite by the ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE 1920' It has been superbly designed and is in outstanding condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8.3cm) tall by 2.5 inches (6.5cm) wide by 0.75 inch (1.8cm) deep and weighs 74 grams. A superbly designed rare piece.
