Here's a JMP era 1979 Marshall model 1982A 4x12 speaker cabinet. These late 70s JMP era cabinets were all labeled for 120 watt due to Marshall not updating the serial tags when they discontinued the G12H-30 in favor of the newer G12-80s for the 1982(A)(B) model cabinets. It handles 320 max Features an original date matched quad of Celestion G12-80s with their original Mueller 444 bass cones. See photos for date and cone codes. Look carefully each photo shows both. 16 ohm impedance via standard series parallel wiring. Harness and solders are all original. One speaker does have a small cone repair from something piercing the cabinet cloth years ago. Fixed with a tiny dab of glue. Least invasive and effective method. I can't hear any difference. Especially in a 4x12 configuration. See photos. All other cones are free of any holes or tears. None of the coils are rubbing and overall these speaker are in great shape. I've checked for weak glue on the spiders. Everything is good. Working as they should. These Marshall labeled T2876 bass cone G12-80s are my favorite of the many variations of the G12-80. Awesome, high headroom speakers that sound very musical, focused lows, pronounced mids and the highs are prominent but pleasing. I like these as a compliment to G12-65s as well. They sound great mixing top and bottom cabinets with 80s and 65s in a full stack . Cosmetically its in decent shape but shows its use. Tolex could use a deep brush cleaning. There are some scuffs, tears and marks in the tolex. The forementioned small hole in the grill cloth. In the photo you may notice age discoloration on the grill cloth. I can only barely see this in person. Not really sure what it came from. The camera seems to have pronounced it quite a bit. If you wish to have a new large checkered genuine Marshall grill cloth installed I can offer that service for an extra $150. Contact me for details on this before purchasing if you want to go that route. The cabinet rolls nicely on a set of Homa casters, it is solid. Free of any structural issues.
