King 5B Symphony Bass Trombone Background:

Designed to fill the need for a solid bass voice in the trombone choir.  Note these features: Slide pull to E adds entire extended range, including low B·F tuning attachment, separate from E pull, tunes F to Bb section. Linkage on the F rotor is made of teflon, insures smoother action, eliminates noise.  Cushion spring in the first position permits shortening of normal slide position.  --1968 King Catalog.

White Company LLC this outstanding King Symphony (Bass) Trombone is one of the best trombones made King.   This trombone has a huge nine inch brass bell with great tone that you will not get from today’s trombones.  This trombone has been restored to like new condition.  The trombone came to us in good condition.  The F rotor is new and operates smoothly.  The body of the trombone is in great shape and has no large or small scratches.  This trombone has new baked on lacquer, which is more durable and will last for a long time.  There is no corrosion on the inner slides or anywhere on the horn.  The slide operates smoothly in all positions and is superfast.  No deep scratches, or small dings that we can see.  

·         This trombone has been re-lacquered (99% perfect).

·         The engraving is a little dull but this is very common for this era horn.

·         There are no scratches or dents on the trombone.

·         One of the inner tubes is new.

·         The slide works great in all positions.

·         The slide is a ten out of ten perfect action.
