This is cholla flower holder which has a large cholla wood base, with 3 smaller pieces of cholla positioned upright to hold the plastic floral tubes.
A 2¾” plastic floral tube is inserted into each of the 3 upright cholla. See the photos to see how this is done.
Cholla wood is the remnant of a cholla cactus after it dies. Cholla cactus wood has a lot of holes which makes it a very interesting and attractive material. We like the ‘desert patina’ that cholla develops as it ages, and for this reason, we prefer to leave the cholla in an unfinished, rustic state. We leave it to you to oil or varnish the piece if you prefer a less rustic look.
