South Carolina Secession Flag 3x5 - Printed

Charleston Custom House Secession Flag – Printed Polyester

The South Carolina Secession flag consists of a red swallowtail shaped flag with a single white star and a crescent toward the top.

History of the South Carolina Secession Flag

On the day after South Carolina seceded from the Union, the SC Secession flag was flown over the Charleston Custom House. Shortly thereafter several other South Carolina cities displayed the same flag as a sign of their support of secession. The South Carolina National flag was adopted a short time later, so the Secession flag had a fairly short life. It was also subsequently flown on the CSS Dixie, which was a Richmond Class Ironclad Confederate warship.

Printed polyester is a very light-weight material that will fly nicely in the slightest breeze.

  • One solid piece of printed, hemmed fabric
  • Heavy canvas header with brass grommets
  • 4 rows of stitching on the fly end to prevent premature fraying
  • Flag size 3’x5′
