Id card printers in some cases will not work if connected to a blue USB3 port, or if using a laptop, a black USB3 port marked with "SS". 

A black USB2 port on a PC or Laptop is required to connect up your printer. Do not use a USB hub.

Please also be aware that not all id card printers will work on the latest Laptops, as they have no standard USB2 Ports. This new generation of laptops come only with a mini port hub with USB3 ports.

PRINTER TESTING

Dove Technology fully test every used ID Card Printer prior to dispatch.

A short video demonstrating the printer in full working order will be made prior to shipment. 

This video will show one or more unique time & date stamped test cards being printed, containing the buyer’s transaction details.

The printed test cards together with the video will be included in the package.

RETURNS

In the unlikely event of the buyer opening up a return claiming the printer is not working or not as described, a copy of the video footage together with a photo scan of the test cards will be used as evidence against any such claim.

Support is offered by telephone, or by TeamViewer remote access software.

a.)   Assistance with the installation of printer drivers to your Windows PC.

b.)  On line training using the CardPresso card design software (if purchased).

The printhead is the most important & expensive part of any ID Card Printer.

Dove Technology will not be held responsible for any damage caused to it.

1.    To avoid damage to the printhead, never use the printer in a dusty location.

2.    Handle the cards by their edges only and store in a dust free environment.

3.    To avoid damaging the delicate printhead, never touch it with your fingers.

4.    Run a cleaning cycle with the cleaning cards provided at regular intervals.

(It is recommended to run a cleaning cycle each time you change a ribbon)
