Absolutely Adorable  

c.1927 LENCI Mascotte Felt Doll In Red Dress and Red Hat, 9 3/4" tall, 

Series 310/110

The doll has swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, painted "surprised" right-side-glancing large blue eyes, painted upper lashes, long multi-stroke eyelashes, molded and painted high brows, accented red nostrils, closed O-shaped mouth with painted molded lips, blonde mohair hairstyle with a braid twisted/rolled at the back of her head and rarely applied stitched felt ears. The doll has firmly-stuffed body, mitten hands (all fingers are stitched together), she is jointed in neck, shoulders and hips.

The doll has  an original Lenci Silver Foil Round Tag, reads:  "LENCI Torino Made In Italy", attached to her skirt on the back. On the back side of the tag there is hand written by Lenci series number: 310/110.

Wearing red felt skirt with orange band,, red felt jacket with elbow sleeves, black velvety collar and organdy puffed sleeves, and flounce at the neck. She wears white-off/white cotton pants with red-braided trim, white knit socks and red felt booties.                                                                  

Condition report: AS PICTURED. The doll is in overall very good antique condition with no damages or repairs to the head or body. There is some not major soiling to her face, some age darkening and to the organdy sleeves, and multiple tiny holes on her felt dress and left booty..
