The Three Waves Proposed as a trademark of the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory in 1775 by regina Dowager Juliane Marie, each piece of Royal Copenhagen porcelain is instantly recognized by the three blue waves on the underside symbolizing sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt – the three main waterways of Denmark.
