[Offered for your review & consideration is this truly magnificent, early-mid 19th century American folk art, New England primitive antique signed 'H. Nichols' black powder horn shoulder pouch, featuring a carved wooden screw plug, carved wood fill end stopper, with wire housing, for its now missing original leather shoulder strap. A hand inscribed high case letter inscription 'H. Nichols' was carved into the side of the variegated color cow horn. The cow horn doesn't suffer from any splits, stains, edge loss, noticeable deep abrasions or scuffs. The large hand carved black powder fill hole plug is absolutely wonderful & intact, with no visible unsightly & depreciating loss. The small powder pouring plug shows more signs of use & wear but is still intact. Both wooden elements have their naturally aged patina & dry, matte finish. This is an authentic, 100% original, unadulterated early to mid 19th century American antique black powder horn in exquisite, very well preserved condition. Great.]
