Up for auction is a 1920-1930's 15 inch Composition Doll that has an X in a circle on her neck.  I have read that sometimes it was an early Vogue or Madame Alexander Doll. She is all original with a dark blonde mohair wig in its original set with long braids.  Her cute red flowered dress with attached panties and separate organdy white lace apron is also all original to the doll and in excellent condition.  She has on her original leatherette shoes and rayon socks.  The dolls face coloring is excellent for the age and her eyes are clear and open and close with full lashes.  She has an open mouth with four adorable top teeth.  She has hardly any crazing.  She does have a few blistering cracks in the paint around her neck.  I tried to show in two of the pictures.  They hardly show when the doll is displayed.  She also has a spot on her leg that is slightly discolored. Do not know what caused that.  Since the doll is somewhere in the range of 90-100 years old I think she is in great condition.
Thank you.
