This reference 1140 is crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold with refined dimensions of 23 x 30mm. This was the largest model produced by Cartier during this era and is considered a gents piece, the classic design and opulence on this piece speaks volumes more than the size ever could. The dial is a sharp and crisp white with black Roman Numeral hour markers and the archetypal ‘Chemin De Fer’. Hidden within the dial itself is the ‘secret signature’ inside the 7 O’Clock numeral. There are of course blued sword style hour/minute hands, matching the blue cabochon which is encrusted into the winding crown. This Tank is fastened to the wrist with a brand new light brown genuine Cartier Alligator leather strap, fastened in place with a solid 18ct yellow gold original Cartier Ardillon buckle. Aesthetically it is art on the wrist, the brown strap perfectly sets off the yellow gold and it brings a smile to your face when you check the time. 

For added peace of mind this Cartier Tank has been fully serviced and overhauled in Cartier Bond Street in December 2023, and as such its been brought back to the very best standard possible both aesthetically and mechanically. The remainder of the two year warranty will be passed along with the watch to the buyer. The condition is absolutely stunning. 

Along with the watch itself comes a full collectors set of original Cartier box and papers & service paperwork, an invoice for your purchase and a certificate showing the serial has a clean history against the lost/stolen registries.
