Vintage EE-8-A Field Phone with Kellogg TS-9-K Handset.  Only date I could find was on the Transmitter Capsule in the Handset appears to be June 1948.  Ink somewhat faded so hard to make out exactly.

Schematic Sticker inside indicates made by Connecticut Telephone and Electric Corp.

Had trouble testing this initially due to deteriorated wires in the handset cord.  Made a cord for testing and noted I could hear voice in the handset with the replacement cord.  Also tested with either line terminal and the BATT terminal using a phone test set.  Audio was faint but legible.  Possibly low audio due to the only D batteries I had expired in 2013?  Ringer operates with magneto rotation.  No other testing done.  I only wanted to verify basic operation.

Original handset cord included but in poor condition.

Missing 1/2 of the carry strap -see photos.

Case has some etched markings hard to make out but possibly HQ DADD1C?

Leather is deteriorated, worn, discolored, and has some cracks and hardening.

Handset has some cracks but is intact.

Battery terminals are oxidized but not super corroded.
