Steeple Top Andirons of Brass and Wrought Iron with round plinths and matching log stops, circa 1810, signed B. Edmands (Barnabas Edmands), Charlestown, no repairs, in excellent original condition, polished, not lacquered, 15 3/4" H. X 16 1/2" D.

 Barnabas Edmands opened a shop in Charlestown Massachusetts sometime between 1799 and 1810. He closed his shop in 1819. An identical pair is in the collection of Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
